Belize
In about 36 hours I'll be heading off on a bastard-long journey to Belize for a fortnight on business.

Staying in Belize CBD, but will have meetings in Belmopan and have to do site visits to Crooked Tree.

Anyone on the Great Oracle that is WHO been? And if so any tips, other than steering well clear of certain parts of Belize City which are beset with gang violence?

Cheers in advance - and if this splats then so be it...

Re: Belize
Was there over Christmas, 2 days in San Ignacio (inland) and 3 days on Caye Caulker.

If you're staying in Belize city, then definitely get over to Caye Caulker (about 1 hour ferry ride). It's just a small Caribbean island, takes about 15 mins to walk from one end to the other. Tons of snorkelling/diving trips to do, or just sit back and enjoy your £5 lobster with a lighthouse lager. Can give you more advice but you'll find everything in a quick stroll. There is another island resort call San pedro but i didn't go and apparently it's far busier than CC.

Oh, and it's fine to pay with USD everywhere.

Whomail me if you want anymore info..
